Linear Module Options

Brakes are required for all modules on which the payload will be moving vertically. The
brakes are designed to hold the maximum-rated payload when High Power to the MB-10
amplifier is removed. Brakes are not engaged during normal servo operation. They are
not required to assist in deceleration or nulling at a programmed location. When ordering
linear modules via the Adept website, configurations with vertical axes default to include
a brake.
Brakes increase the length of each module, as shown in the following drawings.
